Ware Baskets

I love the Fruiting Ivy #23874.  I purchased 3 of them way back when and have used them in several baskets and containers.  Still available at Longaberger at Home.  Here's the latest "home" for them. This time I bundled all 3 together and put them in the Medium Ware Basket.  A Basket form dating back to the 1800's with it's connection to the original "Ware" Baskets used to carry pottery to the kilns of Ohio Pottery Companies.

New Year. New Beginnings.

American Country Mercantile is under new ownership and while I'll miss Emily
and her creative touch at the shop...I am happy for her new adventures.
The shop has been reopened under new ownership. Lori is warmhearted and enthusiastic.
We have a fresh new look and I hope if you are in the neighborhood, you will stop by.
Hours are 10 - 5 PM, Monday through Saturday.  And by appointment.

I moved my space!  Love the my new spot and changing it up a bit.
Chalk full of RED for Valentines Day with hand-mades and junking finds.
I'll still be featuring Longaberger Products from my stash too.  Enjoy!
The red Pottery Barn valance added a lot to the space. Another Gwill find.

Christmas at our House Special Things

A few more of our special things.
Have you ever heard of Simpich Dolls?  Our collection started when we lived in CO and we were gifted one by our relatives who we spent many a holiday with.  Thank you Wohlhueters!  Such special memories indeed.
I wish this was a better picture but you can visit the website and see how simply beautiful and unique they are.

Hurricanes and Poinsettas

The boys. A favorite for sure.

Christmas at our House Santas

This year we actually got our tree and decorations up Thanksgiving weekend!  Everything was festive for the gatherings in early December and I felt so on top of it this season.  NOT...amazing how quickly December flies by.  Are we ever really ready?  I was content to enjoy and not stress this year.  I feel like I did pretty well but blogging did get put aside.  Well...I'm checking back in with pictures I took in early December.
For you my blog fans.  Enjoy!
See the little green felt stocking?  That was mine from when I was little.  :-)

An evening view.

Moon Santa found at a craft fair in Rapid City in the early 80's.  It started my Santa collection.

Vintage Quilted Stocking from the Kentucky Tinker when we lived in CO

Christmas at our House Snowmen

Snowmen in the Family Room
Snowman collection.  Many have been gifted to me over the years.

I have several pencil post trees.  This one is my snowman tree.

This little set of Snow people on the cake plate were an incentive I earned in my early years with Longaberger.

My friend Sue made the Snow-globe Wall Hanging.  I just love it!
